Its amazing how far in advance you have to plan in order to pull all the holiday’s off but man is it worth it. People love holidays! They love to spend their money on decorations, photos and buy gifts for just about anything. I am sure you know this if you walk into any store right now and see how much Valentine's Day stuff is out. This is why you should schedule quarterly photoshoots with your local brand photographer. This will allow you to easily plan for holidays like Valentines Day.

When you do quarterly sessions you are a whole quarter of a year ahead and do not have to scramble to find content or new website images for holidays like Valentines day. Valentine's Day is one of the hardest ones for me because I usually am so focused on Christmas that I totally forget about it. I'm sure this happens to a lot of other people as well. The only advantage I have is that I am the photographer so I can do something relatively quickly. This is probably not the case for you and depending on your market you are going to want nice pictures to showcase yourself or products for Valentines Day.

When you are not prepared for holidays like Valentines Day it really can show. When shopping for gifts online you will be able to tell the place that put effort into their advertisement and social media presences and the one that didn't. Most consumers are going to buy their Valentine's Day themed items and shop Valentine's Day specials from the businesses that put effort into their advertising. Having great styled photos professionally edited will showcase your business in all the ways you hope.



When you book a quarterly session it throws you right into planning your next quarter. You get out your calendar and look at what's ahead, what you want to post about, what you need to post about, what holidays are coming up and what you need to do to make it successful. This planning ahead gives you time to really think about what your marketing plan is going to be. So instead of rushing around in January for some Valentines Day marketing you will already have all your campaign pictures and ideas ready to go. All you have to do is upload your content to your social media platforms, blogs and website. Doesn't that sound way more calm and easier than scrambling and being late to the Valentines Day party?

We do this because we want you to get the most out of your session and if you are forgetting to bring a red shirt and end up with no Valentines Day pictures when its in the next quarter you are not going to be happy. Once we head you in the right direction then you come up with your plan. This is different for every business depending on their needs. Some post on social media multiple times a week and are constantly updating their website with new content while others are more of a casual poster. You know not doing it for the constant but doing it for google. No matter what category you fall in it is important that you don't forget about Valentine's Day!.

So how early do you need to plan for Valentine's Day if you are not a quarterly session business. Well you need to think about a few things like… Are you selling a product or a service? If you are selling a product you need to think about shipping times. If I order something for my loved one I want to make sure that it arrives before the big love day of Valentines Day. In this case you probably want to have your campaign done and started in the beginning of January. If you are selling a service or going to run a Valentine's Day discount you might be able to get away with the middle of January. With this in mind then you need to take into consideration how long it takes your photographer to get your images back to you and how booked up they are. So November/December might be a good time to have your Valentines Day product photos taken.
