Getting professional portraits is locking a moment of time in place. Kids grow incredibly fast and you will want to look back and remember how adorable they were. Getting a professional portrait of your child will lock that time forever.
Most of us take thousands of photos and videos on our cell phones but never print anything. It makes you wonder what in the world everyone has hanging on their walls. Just so you know I do practice what I preach and I do have very large framed and matted prints of my kids in my house.

Some other great ideas for a kids photoshoot are Outdoor adventure - Capture your kid playing in a park, exploring nature or hiking down trails, storybook time - Bring their favorite storybook and/or characters they can even dress up, superhero - Let them dress up as their favorite superhero and get action shots and stroke dynamic poses, tea party dress - we can set up a cute tea party sean and they can get dressed up fancy and have their favorite stuffy with them too, arts and crafts - pictures of them coloring and painting with a cute smock and easel, and sports - showing them in action and taking your not so average sports portrait, Vintage style - dress your kid up in some timeless clothing paired with some old suitcases and a great backdrop. Really what you can do with a kid portrait session, literally the sky is the limit and we have photoshop for that!
Another great reason to get portraits of you kids when they are little is to decorate your playroom. Having pictures of your kids playing to hang in your playroom will make it unique and yours. When they are grown and you make it an adult space, leave the pictures up to lock that moment in time. Even better than having your kids portraits on the wall is to get an album to look at whenever you want to bring you back in time.
